National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)

a) Admission for April - May - 2012 (Stream - I) :

1st March 2011 - 31st August 2011

b) Admission for Oct - Nov - 2012 (Stream - II) :

1st Sep 2011 - 28th Feb 2012

c) On Demand Examination :

d) Fee structure :

Admission Fees

Includes admission, registration & study materials.

Admission Fees will be valid for 5 Academic years.

Exam Fees

e) Courses :

Minimum 5 papers.
At least one paper should be from language group.
Download Secondary Courses.
Download Senior Secondary Courses.
Download On Demand Exam Courses.

f) Tutor Mark Assignments (TMAs) :

At least 1 out of 3 TMAs are required to be submitted.

TMAs are given on the back side of the study materials.

Submission of TMAs:

APRIL / MAY TERM :

5th Dec / 5th Jan / 5th Feb

OCT / NOV TERM :

5th June / 5th July / 5th Aug

g) Practical / Project Reports :

Project report to be submitted before the exams.
Duly signed by the teachers from their allotted AIs (Authourised Institution) before their exam.
Signed project reports are required to be finally submitted to the examiner on the date of practical papers.
Registered candidates can download project report from our sites.

h) Passing Marks / Qualifying Marks :

Minimum 33% in aggregate including theory & practical.

i) Study Materials :

Study Materials are supplied by New Delhi office.

Study materials are supplied at the address of the candidates.

Candidates must check the study material from their post office if not received within 30-45 days from their registration.
